FirmPro is a firmness and size measuring device for cherries, blueberries, grapes and any small fruit. It has intuitive, easy-to-use software, and at the same time allows access to configure more than 33 movement parameters to adjust to the user's requirements. It is delivered working at the customer's facilities and includes training and support.

Advantages of its Technology:

Use of the latest electronic, mechanical and software technologies. It is "Turnkey" (Includes everything necessary to operate optimally). It has an intuitive interface that is quick to learn. Allows you to incorporate new functionalities via software updates.

Benefits of technology:

The industry benefits because it can eliminate the subjectivity of the “hand” and the “eye” and be able to access a high-tech instrument that is also easy to use and low price.

thinking about users

FirmPro is natively integrated with Excel. The output data sheet incorporates a statistical analysis tab that allows conclusions about the sample and the batch of fruit sampled (batch received), with this you can estimate, for example, “what percentage of the batch meets a minimum required firmness.” Besides:

  • The user can load a correlation formula with up to 2 computers simultaneously. (Durofel, Baxlo and FirmTech)
  • The user can upload their own “reception sheet” (or data analysis in general) in a tab that will auto-complete (calculate) with each FirmPro measurement!

A trunk for land and air transport is offered, which also serves for permanent storage. This trunk was designed exclusively for the team and has wheels, handles and security locks. Check availability and prices.

The weight of the complete trunk is 44.9Kg, so it is recommended to load and unload it by 2 people.
Its measurements are 61x47x47cm (not counting the wheels), which allows you to board a plane, but paying for luggage.

HappyAgro has developed a colorimeter that is coupled to the FirmPro equipment and that allows the color of each fruit in the tray to be captured, allowing the FirmPro to measure firmness, size and color in each fruit in the sample.

Colorimetro is composed of a mini photo studio and image processing software. The current version only allows measuring cherries, but it is planned to incorporate the color measurement of blueberries, and more small fruits.

Some photographic techniques used

  • Use of a powerful flash, which allows you to reduce the shutter to a minimum for greater focus.
  • Use of a powerful flash, which allows the electronic gain to be reduced to ISO100, to obtain a higher signal-to-noise ratio (less granularity).
  • Use of an umbrella-type reflector to illuminate the fruits evenly.

Some image processing techniques implemented

  • Shooting of 2 successive images, one with and one without flash, to suppress light interference by subtracting images
  • Target normalization using a white plate
  • Fruit segmentation through edge search (maximum polar derivative)
A high-resolution camera is used that captures the image of the entire plate simultaneously and through software the color of each fruit is analyzed individually according to its position on the plate.

All captured images are recorded so that the user can review the history of the fruits that passed through the machine. (Digital counter sample)
